the back burner

*This week has been nutso and hot.  So the blog has been pushed to the back burner along with laundry and any other type of cleaning.  I found that when you have so much stuff on your burners there is no way you can cook either. This week has been a hot, nutso week full of sandwiches.   Ella Kate started soccer camp this week. I found that not only does it take a village to raise a child, but it takes a village to go to soccer camp.  Kudos to Carla and Julie for all the hours babysitting the younger two so they don't have to sit out at a shadeless camp for 2 hours everyday.  Not to mention Carla's ability to be a team braider and having extra soccer socks also comes in handy.  Ek has loved it, this mama has loved watching her girl play. It also isn't too bad to sit out alone in the sun for a couple hours, even though I am now queen of the weird random sunburns. (i.e. patch on one arm, patch on back of my calf) A couple more days and we are done with soccer, then we move on to another reason not to get household duties done.
