miracle.

*god is full of surprises.  We were told this morning before they took betsy that there was a good chance they would take the entire eye during surgery.  prayers were said, tears were uncontrollable.

*the surgeon came in after 10 minutes with tears in her eyes.  She told us she was so surprised to see how great the eye looked and that she didnt even have to do anything.  Betsy will be able to keep her lovely eye.

*vision in eye is unknown at this time, but honestly that's a worry for another day. right now we are praising god for his miracle and thanking everyone who prayed for our sweet baby girl.

*she has a long road ahead of her, but knowing god's power and how he answers prayers, we are calm.

* we will return several times in the next couple of days to children's mercy to check for infection.

*i will keep you updated..not to worry i still continue to make inappropriate eye jokes at inappropriate times. :)

  1. Glad I'm not the only one who uses inappropriate humor as a coping mechanism...

Please know that everyone in this house is lifting you all up in prayer, as well as everyone taking care of sweet little Betsy Kate! Big hugs from Minnesota.

  2. Inappropriate humor is always a good coping mechanism. Vinnie and I will appreciate your jokes, even if Zack doesn't. So thankful for the happy news today! Big hugs to you all!

  5. So glad to hear the good news! Just so you know, the sanctity of the Grande was breached tonight, when I was forced to go there with James in his blue track suit. Hang in there!
